Whipped Cream New York Premiere
From the imagination of Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky and pop surrealist visionary, Mark Ryden, comes a magical confection of whimsy and delight about a young boy who overindulges at a Viennese pastry shop and falls into a delirium. It’s a delicious dessert of invention, a full-length festive celebration with all the requisite princes and princesses, set to a sumptuous score by Richard Strauss.
Swan Lake
Considered the world’s quintessential ballet, this fable of ill-fated romance, dreamlike transformation and selfless compassion is performed to Tchaikovsky’s famed score, choreographed by Artistic Director, Kevin McKenzie, after Petipa and Ivanov.
In a perfect fusion of music, movement and drama, this Romantic ballet epitomizes the transcendent power of love and forgiveness in an ABT signature production.
Tchaikovsky Spectacular
ABT presents a sparkling showcase of breathtaking athleticism and lyrical beauty in works inspired by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky’s genius including the Company Premiere of Alexei Ratmansky’s Souvenir d’un lieu cher, George Balanchine’s Mozartiana and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Marcelo Gomes’ AfterEffect, and Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker pas de deux and Aurora’s Wedding from The Sleeping Beauty.
The Golden Cockerel
“In a flood of blazing color, the stage erupts in a style at once storybook naïve and neoprimitivist-modernist, Alexei Ratmansky’s narration is suspenseful, amusing, energetic,” praised The New York Times. Featuring tour-de-force theatrical roles, this fairy-tale of mythical Russia will envelop you in a kaleidoscope of vibrant color.
Le Corsaire
Discover a treasure trove of virtuoso dancing in this swashbuckling adventure as a dashing pirate’s love for a beautiful harem girl never fails to delight.
Tchaikovsky’s vivid music brings alive the world of Imperial Russia in this compelling tale of unrequited love, based on Pushkin’s great verse-novel, Eugene Onegin.
Don Quixote
The knight-errant of la Mancha and his devoted squire, Sancho Panza, are positively heroic in this feast of choreographic fireworks inspired by Cervantes’ delightful comedy.
