Together they will sing the Beach Boys’ classic “God Only Knows.” Their version will be a down beat tempo version of the song. This year, the recording academy has submitted a list of over 500 names to be considered for the segment. Unfortunately, the three-minute tribute will ultimately feature only 50 of those under consideration.
Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo is also nominated this year for a Grammy Award for Broadway’s The Color Purple: Best Musical Theater Album.
The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from Staples Center in Los Angeles, California this Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 8:00 pm EST live on CBS- TV. James Corden, the Emmy and Tony Award winning multi-faceted host of CBS’ The Late Late Show With James Corden, will serve as host.
