BROADWAY BACKWARDS LGBT Benefit Starring Cynthia Erivo, Josh Groban, Kathleen Turner, Sierra Boggess, Ariana DeBose & Many More by Lisa Pacino

The 12th annual Broadway Backwards LGBT Benefit will be held at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, New York, March 13, 2017. It stars multi-platinum selling artist Josh Groban of Broadway’s Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 and Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo of Broadway’s The Color Purple.

Other performers taking part in the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS benefit are Academy Award nominee and two-time Golden Globe Award winner Kathleen Turner, Sierra Boggess of Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera, Ariana DeBose of Broadway’s The Bronx Tale, Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Carolee Carmello who is to soon star Off-Broadway in Sweeney Todd, Rachel Bay Jones of Broadway’s Pippin and Dear Evan Hansen, and Tony Award nominee Andrew Keenan-Bolger.

Rounding out the roster are Broadway veteran Len Cariou, Tony Award winner Levi Kreis, Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch, Bobby Conte Thornton of The Bronx Tale, Santino Fontana of Disney’s Frozen, Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominee Bobby Steggert, Broadway star Rachel York who portrayed Lucille Ball in the TV biopic Lucy, Tony Award and Grammy Award nominee Andrew Rannells of The Book of Mormon, John Glover of TV’s Smallville, Lora Lee Gaye of Holiday Inn, Elizabeth Stanley of On the Town, Eric Petersen of School of Rock, Robert Creighton of Cagney, Megan Sikora of Holiday Inn, Jay Armstrong Johnson of Sex in the City 2, with Dominic Nolfi, Michael Longoria, and Daniel Reichard of The Jersey Boys. Performers are subject to change.

The event is hosted by Tony Award winner Julie White, will showcase the above stage and screen favorites as they offer their gender-reversed takes on some of their favorite musical theatre songs. Proceeds will go to Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York.
